Brumm Diecast Models

Italian 1:43 scale Brumm collector Diecast models for Sale

Brumm Models a Italian diecast model manufacturer that grew into a huge success in the late 70's unlike most Italian diecast model makers they did something not done before  and instead of making the now familiar Ferrari models and fiat models  they make.

Firstly they made fire service steam engines and horse drawn carriages that to be honest for there time were incredible and very detailed made using diecast and plastic parts ,

This idea really made there name and the company flourished , and yes then after the success of the steam engines and horse drawn carriages they began producing very detailed much nicer models than competitors such as corgi ,

politoys mebetoys etc precision detailed 43rd scale classic veteran racing cars from the early 20th century than no other company's were making which again were a huge success they then went into making the models we see today ,

Many collectors will know they make a lot of old 50's style fiat models in various shapes and colours and make really nice old Mercedes racing cars all in 1:43 scale and they come in a nice perspex case,

The only thing i can really moan about with Brumm models is whilst there models are stunning they only put one screw to hold there models in place inside the box which could and does lead to damage of model turning in box and becoming loose

when fully loose they suffer breakages and the gold they used on the  boxes fades badly over time and the boxes they used  for the horse drawn series were soft flexi plastic ones of the 70's distort and crack with age ,

So if you are collecting these its important to store them in dry darker places , and not to cold as there made with a poor quality diecast that can crumble with age just like the Rio models do if to cold,

But overall lovely models just make sure if you're buying you check there ok and do not have stress cracks in the metal !!!
A lot of European diecast is poor quality especially Italian and Spanish 70's stuff , but British, French and German diecast is excellent quality,

I have not seen many collector books mention this about diecast crumbling  so i hope this helps collectors who are thinking of buying old Italian diecast it must be stored in a good environment or it will cause the metal to crumble as there not good quality, saying that i owned a Alfa Romeo alfasud ti and the metal on that disappeared and that was a real car!  Italian metal was poor in the 70's 80's. specialise in mostly retro out of production pre-loved models priced at very competitive prices well under competitors on average,

Aswell as selling our own products we also act as affiliates for many major companies selling diecast models, basically we search the Internet for products we think you will like,
