Matchbox Diecast Collector Catalogues, books for Sale

Matchbox have made thousands of different models since the 1950's and its hard to keep track of all the makes, models and variations so a great way to help collectors is collecting the old catalogues and buying reference books on the subject just a base plate colour variation can make such a huge difference to a models valuation.

There are many good books on the market regards prices the book in my youtube video at top of this page is the most accurate i have

found with there prices they seem to be inlign to what i would get ,

John Ramsay's British diecast price guide is very good to learn about variations but whatever you do ,
don't take the prices serious i have no idea were he got them from as he was a huge collector himself i believe is bumped prices up to over inflate the worth of his own collection which when it sold in Vectis did nothing near what his book prices stated,
but still a good try to control the market untill the website came out and people could see more clearly true values collectors were getting, but as i say his books are superb for reference i learnt most about British diecast variations from his books .
